DESCRIPTION
NAME: CABERNET FRANC COF– Colli Orientali del Friuli - 2006
ALCOHOLIC CONTENT: 13,00%
VINES: French Cabernet 100%
VINIFICATION: pressing and destemming; one-week maceration and daily delestage. Malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels.
AGEING AND FINING: steel tanks and barrique: 8 months. Further fining in bottles for some months before commercialization.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: noble French wine which in Friuli found the ideal micro climate to express its characteristics. Its ruby-red/purple colour and herbal aroma make it unique. It has fruity and spicy notes: green pepper and nutmeg. Full-bodied with soft tannins.
Matching: it is best served with grilled and roasted meat, earthy dishes and cheeses. Serving temperature: 18-20° C; long-stemmed red wine glasses.
